A note from our founder
Friends and Fans,
I’m pleased to announce the seventh annual Maximum Loin Chili Society (MLCS) championship. The 2016 MLCS contest will be held on Saturday, October 29 on the grounds of the American Royal BBQ competition. Over the past six years, I have been fortunate to preside over one of the greatest culinary events in all of northwest Missouri. Each and every year, I am reminded of what makes this institution, the MLCS, so vital to our regional heritage. The MLCS is based on the unshakable pillars of friends, family, and an everlasting supply of donated alcohol. This year, as we bring our tradition to Kansas, let us look ambitiously to the future, but not lose the perspective of our humble roots. Best of luck this year to all contestants, judges, volunteers, and participants at this year’s MLCS championship.
